Sweet

I'd keep this as a template, but i'm taking the liberty of assuming you want to expand this into a full track and i could be wrong about that :3

If so i'd suggest breaking down to a melodic segment right at the 0:55 mark where you currently have a switch of riff. Not so much reintroducing the synth but a slower segment which you could use as a chorus part, then pick it back up.

You could use that a second or third time, depending on how long you'd like the latter part you currently have to be but perhaps twice with some kind of plateau prior to the end where you allow yourself room to add some ambient bells and whistles.

As is, i'd say it's a bit more proto Slayer then Megadeth but i mainly listened to youthanasia by them anyway so x3

Overall good stuff, keep it at it!

BeefyButton responds:

Your assumption is absolutely correct, I do want to turn this into a full track and put some vocals into the track too.

Ive already begun working more on the synth segment and experimenting it with the track, originally leaving it as an intro and ending to the track BUT I will see if it works with the chorus or not.

Cheers for the feedback! BB

Sweet :3

You sound a fair bit like him, track reminds me of his remix of "i wanna be a hippy" by Technohead.

Nice touch adding some chip sounds in there too :3

Bang up job.

Dj-GST responds:

Awesome man thanks! Yeah that's a good one, that guy rules Frenchcore man, seriously.

A kick/bass drum perhaps?

Cus they sound like a snaredrum only breakbeat atm.

If this is the intro, i'd go all in and finish it cus what you have so far is pretty epic retro sounding. Ok, so it's just an arp and a string but sometimes less is more so i won't fault it lol :3

Way to go

develocity responds:

Well see, there is a kick drum in there, i guess it's just quieter than i had hoped. I do plan on finishing this but I just can't get past how i feel something is missing.
Thanks for the awesome review!

Futuristic

Platform shoot 'em up with an armoured character.

Nice piece, loops well, doesn't get old fast.

Good job

JohnLeprechaun responds:

Awesome! I'm very glad to hear it.

Good stuff

Really sweet guitar work right there, does your offer to collab still stand? If so pick a track, any track and do with it whatever you like.

I can't seem to persuade anyone here to lend me their voice so why not an epic guitarist instead?

Disregarding that, keep up the good work and ponder the notion of getting yourself a band, you sound like you'd enjoy it :3

Eteocles responds:

Thanks! =)

I actually play with various "bandish type things" but nothing very serious.

And for sure, I'll check out your work and see what I can work with!

Flawless

Sounds like the main theme to an animé series to me.

Wish i could make fully pleasing tracks like this :3

NaotoNekoCutie responds:

Hey, don't be too hard on yourself, you've got far more tracks than I have on Newgrounds, and you have lots of potential.

Nothing is impossible, well except for stapling Jell-O to a tree...

And thank you for attributing this track to an anime theme. I feel very flattered :3

Sweet

Like the dnb drum pattern, using sub bass instead of regular kicks is allso a plus imo.

I think it's structured a lot like a chiptunem i like it :3

Icybeatsback2back responds:

So happy that u like it! Ill keep my work up! ^-^

Wonderfull :D

Love your synth programming :3

First pattern sounds like a timestretched sample but i'm not sure, the second layer at o:14/0:15 reminds me of the fm pair oscillator in reason's thor.

I'm probably wrong but kudos anyway, really nice waveforms ^_^

The-Cockenator responds:

ty man :D but in the first i was looking for really dark sounds and well found some but didnt use them to make a heavy song just some thing that was cool ;) but ty man :D

Epic

Kinda reminds me of what i used to love about sepultura and fear factory.

Get yourself a vocalist and take on the world <3

key-bal responds:

cheers man, i see what i can do

Epic

Pads and synthlines makes this sound really cracktro like, i really love that.

I'd be proud of those drums too, nice and bombastic tribal material.

Overall really well done, reminds me of a trainer intro to an amiga game.
