Sweet

So this is what the unit actually sounds like outside of youtube.

Not bad by a long shot really, lots of depth to it, or "fat" as the beards call it.

I'd get it myself if the price were closer to the kaossilator but who knows, after folks come to grips with it i might hear stuff that'll change my mind.

Congrats on getting your new synth, disregard what anyone may or may not say and keep having fun with it :3

DJclimax responds:

thanks! im definitely having fun with it
i want the kaossilator pro at some point. the shop i was at had both but they wanted $400 for the kaossilator pro and $230 for the monotribe, so the decision on which one to get first was pretty easy

Love it

But i'm a sucker for surf and garage so.

Any way you could upload this just a touch louder? It sounds fairly muted at the moment.

Oh and make more :3

Very interesting

Structured like a covenant track, feelingwise closer to feindflug or grendel...

It's all nicely understated, though you do have a psytrance style throbbing bassline going on which may or may not ask for more presence but it's hard to judge when sampling this at home. (this belongs on the dancefloor and with according volume, obviously)

Sadly i'm not well versed with fruity loops so i've no technical pointers to hand out.

I hope you manage to commit lyrics to paper as this would make a great backing track but it's perfectly fine as is for the time being,.

Chaotichism responds:

Pretty dead on. I had Tactical Sekt and pre-Harsh Generation Grendel in mind when I did this. And my purpose WAS to make it like it was to be heard in a club or venue. I still feel like I need to work on the sampling. I'm horrible at EQ-ing, but I'm still working on it.

Believe it or not, I have lyrics written already. I just need to find a way to put them on the track. All I have is a laptop with a built-in mic, and needless to say, it won't do the job. Haha. But your review was definitely appreciated. Hopefully more will come soon.

Sweet

Hate to break it to you but i'm going to be absolutely no help on this.

Frankly i can't find any fault with this as is and i rather like it.

Keep going at it is the best advice i can offer :3

RunningShadows responds:

Haha, thanks!

Sweet stuff

Aloha, you have been sampled for my track "Insight" go check it out, you're going to love it :3

Kick ass

I don't normally care for remixes much, give or take artists doing their own vip versions but you managed to turn this from liquid to full on.

Sweet, now it kinda sounds like something i'd hear on bassjunkees during a saturday night :3

Higgins667 responds:

Thanks! I agree with the fact that remixes don't deserve high scores usually, and I appreciate your review and the favorite :D

Really good

Sounds like the stuff they play on the radio 24/7 here.

Could do with some vocals if plan to make a shorter edit, but this one's pretty flawless imo

Keep it up :3

bitfan responds:

Wow, thank you for the coment. :)
But I don't have any vocals and I never worked with vocals neither. :(
Thanks for listening and commenting.

It's ok

I rather like how it's vinyl length, but keep in mind most of your audience here has ADD in varying degrees of severity, so it's unlikely many will sit through anything over 3 minutes long unless they really like it, nevermind 10 minutes plus.

That aside i listened to your first upload aswell and i think two things would really help you, firstly record/compose your pieces in a slightly higher volume cus your current level is hard to hear :3

Secondly do yourself a tremendous favour and try to copy something you like, not so much literally but try to get close to the sound of whatever you like listening to, you'll learn to improve faster then just jamming away on your own.

All that said, i think you're off to a great start, keep at it and have fun

Prophecyhungary responds:

thx :) hardstyle baby xD!

Sweet

I'd keep this as a template, but i'm taking the liberty of assuming you want to expand this into a full track and i could be wrong about that :3

If so i'd suggest breaking down to a melodic segment right at the 0:55 mark where you currently have a switch of riff. Not so much reintroducing the synth but a slower segment which you could use as a chorus part, then pick it back up.

You could use that a second or third time, depending on how long you'd like the latter part you currently have to be but perhaps twice with some kind of plateau prior to the end where you allow yourself room to add some ambient bells and whistles.

As is, i'd say it's a bit more proto Slayer then Megadeth but i mainly listened to youthanasia by them anyway so x3

Overall good stuff, keep it at it!

BeefyButton responds:

Your assumption is absolutely correct, I do want to turn this into a full track and put some vocals into the track too.

Ive already begun working more on the synth segment and experimenting it with the track, originally leaving it as an intro and ending to the track BUT I will see if it works with the chorus or not.

Cheers for the feedback! BB
