Sweet

Good stuff, where'd you get the sample? :3

cjsnow1 responds:

A song I found out about from the castle series. I dled the whole album. It's not bad.

Sweet

Very trancey this one, bit melancholic, like autumn acid tracks.

You know they upped the max filesize to 15mb? Dunno if it'd help you
much though considering the full length of your pieces x3

LucidSpore responds:

Yeah. failed hard Hahaha i uploaded Take the Red Pill then i seen that it was 15mb i was like wow curse you!! haha. Thank you for the pleasant review though

Good stuff

Pretty epic bass and lots of effects. Overall it has a much more ambient
feel to it then your previous tracks, i like it.

LucidSpore responds:

Thank you, very very much. I love FX they are growing on me constantly hehe and yea ive learned how to master!!! :D pretty decent way too. So it has really helped the end project hehe. Your missing the drop though honestly. Youtube. =] 5:00 is my fav i LOVE LOVE IT so much

Awesome

I'd say somebody has a knack for good ambient :3

Very accessible for a dark piece and i imagine that's hard to pull off.

If you're implying you made this under the influence imma do the
irresponsible thing and remark it hasn't impaired you x3

ShatterTheSky22 responds:

Thank you so much! I enjoy that you feel it's accessible. I was hoping it was somewhat, and not so out there nobody would enjoy it.

And no, I don't have the will to do anything under the influence. I just sit there and have philosophical conversations with people. lmao

Thank you for the score and review, much appreciated.

Epic

This is a damn close rendition of a late 80s tune, though if you're aiming for authenticity first and foremost keep in mind that the norm was breakbeats and a slapped, chalky kind of kick, not so much the 1/4 house beat we're used to today.

(what you did during the build up/intro is actually very reminiscent of that)

Overall you've managed a sound that'd make me think you hooked up a nes, an msx and a c64 so it deserves to be called a chiptune :3

Dunno how well a baroque compositon would hold up compared to this, considered how very few people will stand to hear an 8-bit harpsichord but disregarding that i think you've done a good job on capturing the spirit of that sound of times long gone.

PM me if you want links to hits from back in the day

Ef-X responds:

thanks for the review. Agree with you on the suggestion of the drums i shoulda chill back and made less of a house beat. Dunno never really heard an 8 bit harpischord :D

Diablo 2

That's what this reminds me of a lot, i have to agree this would do really well
in a production, probably a game imo.

Tricky doing powerfull ambient with so little, kudos to you for getting this so
right, i love it :3

ShatterTheSky22 responds:

Thank you so much! I haven't played Diablo 2 in years, I'll have to check out the music now to see what you mean. Maybe it'll be inspirational.
Many thanks friend.

Very sweet

Nice and upbeat, dunno why but the strings kinda reminded me of the mood
that skeelo song used get me into even though it all sounds nothing like it lol.

Quality stuff and yeah, where's an mc when you need one eh? ^_-

NanvanNoord responds:

Hahaha good question.
I have found some female rappers, but they don't seem to be very active on their sites which is understandable when they really are signed.

Sweet

Still some speaker crackling going on here and there, either tied to the kick
or the main synth/bassline, but you're obviously slaving away to iron out
all the kinks so props for the effort.

Overall the track is well composed, if i imagine a person of a certain dispositon
wailing in thick accented english or just plain german then this could be any
other top notch ebm track i'd dance to on a weekend.

Keep 'em coming <3

i9incher responds:

haha thanks. i am pretty sure it might be the bass or the main melody. whenever I mmake a heavy saw song there is usually some static issues with that so I will try and get that fixed asap.

flashbacks ahoy

Reminds a lot of early 90s deep house/mellow acid tracks, i love it :3

D-ROCK-B4DK responds:

Hell Yeah! Thanx alot!

Heftig
