Very impressive piece indeed, don't forget to advertise in your blog as it this certainly deserves attention.

Outstanding work.

ForgottenDawn responds:

Thanks for your kind words :)
Well, I did during the time I released the soundtrack, that is... two years ago, wow. I had less followers back then, hehe. I do release updates from time to time, however :)

Nice work, kind of videogame soudtrack meets clubby ebm.

Welcome to newground, enjoy your stay.

That's a terrific drone, borders on something cinematic.

Make more.

It's my girlfriends oven. (with effects of course)
thank you, I'm glad you like it, theres plenty more to come.

The point of a good mix though is that everyone can hear what you're hearing regardless of what they're using to listen to it, not just if it so happens they have the exact same setup as the one you're mixing with.

Don't get me wrong it's a nice track but what's the use if only you can hear all the details you put into it?

bdog705 responds:

you would be surprised at the sound quality with bass being portrayed through many different sources , if you had a basic built in modem speaker and you blasted a 15Hz bassline but then blasted that same bassline through a Velodyne 1812, i can guarantee you the result of sound would be different
this whole song is just me testing bass with different filters and effects thrown onto the bass

as far as the song
im sure out of like the 10 people that care about it, they all get different results with bass crafted songs
it isn't tailored to be just for me and their actually isn't a lot of changes i can hear in this but with a better sound setup i'm sure i would hear things much differently then with a simple pair of HD201 sennheiser headphones and a basic sound card with ASIO drivers
the most expensive thing i have is the headphones and those were a gift XD
but as far as bass, everyone will hear it differently, depending on what they are listening with

Superb noisescape old man.

None of this is real except that we're all really dead, cue a lifetime of trying to make sense of it all.

Very sharp cut around 16k that might look decorative but why is it there at all, think of all that higher registry goodness that went out the window. Mix is a touch muddy again but it's not particularly bothersome as the track a nice, cohesive whole and it's got that fill the floor vibe like the previous one i commented on.

Jewel in the crow, as is often the case, is your vocal work which makes up for just about any flaw you could pick out yourself.

Good effort, perhaps working under pressure suits you.

Lich responds:

I struggle to mix on the quiet, especially when I'm rushed haha. I did set the cutoff at 18.2K, it seems pretty strange though that 16-18K seems to be missing though. I just noticed that on my headphones. Oh well it's too late to change that <3

I've got stuff coming out on an album soon which sounds much better mixed, albeit what I've done for it is slower. I'll pm you a link to it once it's all done, you might enjoy it (it's free!)

Love how rich that kick is, peanut butter with crunchy bits along with those driving synth patterns which sound absolutely stellar. Cybergoth fare with dark psy flair if you know what i mean.

I dunno, getting some real throbbing gristle and grendel vibes off of this though they never did things this cool imo.

Vocals are probably the lushest element frequency wise but it doesn't sound like they're laden with input static or anything to me, if you want them more stand out i'd venture something as simple as a bit of eq ducking on one or two instruments could make them seem a lot clearer without changing anything substantial.

I'd say there's enough bass though it does sound a little bit subdued compared to some of your previous efforts because, to my ears mind you, the mix is actually more balanced and compact as a whole which unfortunately accentuates that it's slightly muddy still.

Overall, this sounds like something i'd hear on digital gunfire back when winamp was still a thing, your finest to date i dare say.

Vocals and the beat fit but feel a bit like window dressing for some reason or another.

The syncopated synth reminds me of this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u_ejoGVeqzQ and i'm torn between liking it or that electro-esque riff best, both are very pleasing though.

Goes from ponderous to cybergoth anthem to my ears and remains there pretty consistently, sounds top notch as usual and why would you want to make your xeon break a sweat anyway, that would be indicative of trying to fit everything in including the kitchen sink.

Parts of it sound like you're leaving room for vocals only to follow it up with a bit of no i don't, i guess that's from being more spontaneous eh? :3

The only thing here, to me, that is hitting a pig with a spanner is that piano near the end. For whatever reason i think i'd like it better if it actually was a bit cleaner sounding.

Overal, enjoyeable stuf as usual.

Lich responds:

I have zero clue why I even included the Piano. I was like "Maybe I could Saturate it and see what it sounds like, muahahaha!" and after a few post-release playbacks I don't really like that part much anymore typically :P

I did make a vow for this one, no vocals. It's too messey for it to really work (plus I'm waiting for my Boss SE-50 half-rack to turn up from an ebay seller I got it off, so full on Suicide Commando, Wumpscut & God Module-sounding vocals to be present in the imminent future (it's the same unit they used to use for their older vocal-work).

I'm super impressed with my Xeon E5 1650-V3 with the making of this track. 30-35 usage at a buffer rate of 512 samples is pretty damn good in my books for the absolute monstrous amount of plugin's I've ran through this track.

But yaaaaaaaaaa, glad you enjoy the track! ^_^
